After a little of research into the city's inhabitants, Korra's quickly come to learn that there's a certain section of town where she can act a lot freer than usual. It tends to be in alleys that are dark and shadowed, even in the middle of the day, where gazes end up clouded without any help at all. Without average citizens to gaze and cast doubt upon these dark halls, Korra has a chance to be herself, to use the hands and the powers that the world chose to gave her, of all people.
It's not quite like destiny, what she does these days, but it's a hell of a lot better than keeping herself idle.
The thugs round on her first, stolen loot in packs over their shoulders and weapons flashing brightly in their hands. The important thing is that there aren't any guns or explosives — Korra hasn't gotten a handle on approaching those, yet. But metal tools?
Piece of cake.
She kicks the first guy readily, the heel of her foot knocking against his significant chin, until he stumbles back and falls to a heap next to the dumpster. With him out for the count, the two remaining men decide to attack together.
"Why you little—"
A large piece of asphalt breaks away from the road and hits them both square in the stomach, knocking the wind out of their lungs.
"Two against one? Well." She grins, cracking her neck and placing her hands on her hips. "Sorry boys, looks like I just took a bite out of your honor."
